"480 Minutes" - R.I.P. x 3

This week we lost BAGeL Radio staples Grant Hart of Hüsker Dü, Jessi Darlin of Those Darlins, and Virgil Howe of Little Barrie.  This is starting to feel a lot like 2016, a year that seemed so full of bad news that things couldn't possibly get worse. "Turn the page to 2017!" was what everyone seemed to want. Then came the Gross Orange Pumpkin, hurricanes, earthquakes, and if that wasn't enough, Nazis and racists marching openly in the streets and normalized as "some very fine people" by the So-Called Ruler Of The United States.  This week is a reminder to be careful what you wish for, folks, it seems that things can indeed get worse.

Today the award-winning 480 Minutes show today will feature new songs by Elliott BROOD (Toronto, Ontario, Canada, @ElliottBROOD), Gordon Raphael (Berlin, Germany via NYC, @gordonraphael), The Gotobeds (Pittsburgh, PA, @the_gotobeds), The National (Brooklyn, NY via Cincinnati, OH, @TheNational),  Omni (Atlanta, GA, @omniatl), and Ritual Howls (Detroit, MI, @ritualhowls), plus music to honor those recently departed musicians mentioned above.


The 480 Minutes program begins at 9 a.m. Eastern U.S. Time and is live-hosted until 5 p.m.
The show is rebroadcast in it's entirety on Friday evenings beginning at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 5 a.m. and 3 p.m., and Sundays at 1 a.m. ET.
